Cristina Montalvão Sarmento Associate Professor with Aggregation at the University of Lisbon (ISCSP). She is also General Secretary of the Association of Portuguese Language Universities and Director of the Political Observatory. PhD in Political Science, specialty in Political Theory (2004) NOVA — FCSH, Postgraduate in Philosophy, FLUL (1999); Graduate in Political Science, ISCSP-UTL (1994); II Cycle in Geostrategy and International Relations, IEHEI; Nice, France (1987); Degree in History (1997) FLUL; Degree in Law (1986) FCH-UCP. A member of several Political Science Associations, she was a board member of the RC15 — IPSA and was recently elected to the board of the IAU — International Association of Universities (UNESCO).
